Self care for uncertain times.

Have you ever considered taking a 15-minute yoga break?

In this age of global pandemic, war, and social isolation, evidence of stress can be found everywhere. If anxiety or stress is getting the best of you, consider carving out time to give yoga a try.

Yoga is a wellness practice for the mind and body that blends physical yoga poses (or asanas), breathing practices (pranayama), and meditation or relaxation (dhyana). This unique approach to wellness may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and heart rate, while generating feelings of well-being and happiness. The most wonderful part of yoga is that almost anyone can do it anywhere and its easy to learn. By making the time for practicing self-care you also may even become the inspiration for someone else. To get started try something as simple and soothing as finding a quiet space to relax, be at peace, stretch a little, and breath. Than try to get plenty of sleep, be physically active (opt outside and go for a walk), and eat healthy, nutritious foods that help your body feel good. Challenge a friend or family member to do this with you! Begin a 30-day “practice” together and soon you will discover that you can manage your stress and feel the anxiety melt away. Namaste.
